North East tech pioneer’s digital signage network surpasses 2,000 screens in UK retail
LamasaTech, a leading specialist in kiosks, digital signage and touch screens, has secured a major contract with Co-op’s Retail Media Network, marking another milestone in the company’s expansion across the UK retail sector. The North East firm, headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, has partnered with business transformation specialists, Commercial, to deliver and maintain a network of digital media screens across 300 Co-op stores, with plans to expand to 1,000 locations. This strategic collaboration combines LamasaTech’s innovative display technology with Commercial’s expert installation and servicing capabilities, offering FMCG brands compelling new opportunities to reach consumers.
Ethical compliance represented a fundamental requirement throughout the partnership. LamasaTech demonstrated strict adherence to Co-op’s ethical trading standards, ensuring full supply chain transparency and compliance with environmental and labour regulations.
The installation features LamasaTech’s versatile products: the Muro window displays, which deliver exceptional visibility with 3,500 nits ultra-high brightness technology, and the Versi displays, equipped with anti-glare toughened glass, strategically positioned at store entrances and foyers to maximise customer engagement. The screens have superior brightness compared to market alternatives while consuming significantly less energy.
This latest rollout expands LamasaTech’s retail presence to over 2,000 screens across the UK, building on their successful partnerships with major brands including Costa Coffee and Baker + Baristas.
