LamasaTech is delighted to announce that we were shortlisted for two categories at this year’s Dynamites 17 awards: Project of the Year (Public/Sector Academic) and Innovator of the Year.
International recognition for the North East
The Dynamites 17 Awards, sponsored by BT, look to celebrate the talent of the North East region in the IT and Technology sectors. With 9 categories and 11 awards up for grabs, the success of the region as a technology powerhouse in the UK is undeniable. Dynamo North East is an excellent organisation dedicated to growing the North East economy and achieving national and international recognition for the region.
Project of the Year
Our Project of the Year nomination was based on our Immersive Learning Experiences project with the National Centre for the Written Word (The Word) – a new state-of-the-art cultural venue at the heart of the regeneration of South Shields Town Centre. LamasaTech produced immersive technology to promote interactive and engaging learning experiences. The project consisted of a digital media wall, an immersive storytelling room and a range of touch screen equipment. The technology is enhancing the learning of children in the North East community, which has seen extraordinary results in The Word’s first year of operation. Innovator of the Year
The development of our digital visitor management system, placed us on the list of shorlistees for Innovator of the Year. LamasaTech has brought about technological advancements in the field of visitor management. These advancements have promising potential to change the way in which organisations manage visitors, contractors and staff. The product, VisiPoint, is an innovative visitor and reception management system which acts as a digital sign-in book for businesses and schools. LamasaTech has revolutionised an important and integral aspect of the modern organisation, which has significant impacts on safeguarding, cost savings and organisational efficiency. Dynamites 17 Awards Night
Unfortunately we didn’t swoop the winning spot this year, but being shortlisted for two awards is a huge achievement in itself – and we had some tough competition! The event was truly a fantastic celebration of the North East. We’d like to thank Dynamo North East and all the sponsors for hosting such a great event, and a big congratulations to all winners, shortlistees and those commended.
